Madzone Marketing LLC Taps TransMedia Group to Provide Publicity Lift to Knife and Forklift(TM)

MadZone Marketing LLC, "the shopping asylum for wacky products," has retained the international PR firm, TransMedia Group, to publicize its wackiest of all offerings, the Knife and Forklift(TM), designed to enable dieters to exercise while eating (www.knifeandforklift.com).

Made of stainless steel, the Knife and Forklift sets are a sleek combo of utensils and dumbbells weighing nearly two pounds each. A knife or fork protrudes from each dumbbell, which turns eating into a workout.

"This is not just a fun novelty product at $19.95 apiece, but a reminder that eating puts weight on and exercise takes it off," said TransMedia publicist Adrienne Mazzone. It also gets eaters to slow down so the message "I'm full" gets to the brain in time before an overload of calories.

TransMedia plans to promote Knife and Forklift together with another TransMedia client, the calorie-burning beverage Celsius (www.celsius.com), which is growing rapidly in nationwide distribution, thanks in large part to publicity that the PR firm has generated, said Mazzone.

Among other wacky products from MadZone Marketing (www.madzonemarketing.com) for which TransMedia will be doing publicity are "Smoke-Less Chips," which are tiny chips affixed to boxes of cigarettes that deliver a smoke less message every time the box lid is flipped open. "Beneath every wacky product from MadZone is a valuable and meaningful message worth heeding," said Mazzone, that doesn't subtract at all from the fun and novelty of giving these zany products as gifts.
