Fearless NHRA Drag Racer and Heir to Hair Care Fortune, Alexis DeJoria,
Retains TransMedia For Adrenaline Pumping PR

Alexis DeJoria, daughter of famed hair care king, John Paul DeJoria (of John Paul Mitchell Systems) has retained TransMedia Group (http://www.transmediagroup.com) to create a blazing PR campaign, including a full-fledged social media presence.
TransMedia said publicity will focus on Alexis as a mother of one who is currently the Top Female Top Alcohol Funny Car Racer and sponsored by Patron Tequila. Her team, Stealth Motorsports, is owned and operated by Alexis herself, the only female to accomplish this feat, said Ashley DiVeronica, TransMedia's Director of Social Media Marketing.
"I'm excited to work with TransMedia in sharing my story of balancing motherhood and the dangers of drag racing," said Alexis who was nearly killed just one year ago in a horrific crash at the Englishtown, NJ Raceway Park. Alexis will be returning to this very track on June 10th where she will attempt to conquer the track that nearly killed her, and claimed the life of another drag racer the year before.
TransMedia said publicity should hit prior to the start of the upcoming drag racing season when Alexis returns to Englishtown and announces she will be setting her sites on changing from Top Alcohol Funny Car to Nitro Funny Car racing, enabling her to exceed the current 266 mph in 5.4 seconds of her top alcohol vehicle.
"We're thrilled to represent such an incredible woman with so many great stories to tell" said TransMedia's PR Manager Allison McCormick. "Alexis is a great role model for young girls, especially those looking to break barriers in any predominately male sport."
Already wildly popular in the drag racing community, TransMedia aims to broaden her fan base by exposing her to a wider audience. To achieve this, TransMedia Group will share Alexis' life story of being a thrill-seeking mother, in addition to being the daughter of a world famous entrepreneur.
